Salim is one of the those rare people you meet just a few times in life, whose warm, caring, and fun loving personality becomes contagious. He’ll make you feel welcome and comfortable from your very first minute at Better Body Bootcamp, in a way you’ve never felt at any gym before. He’s one of the many reasons why we’re different and why our program can’t be matched.

He has an understanding of the body that can come only from a lifetime of training and experience. Besides being a lifetime fitness devotee, Salim has over five years of experience as a trainer. When working for a major healthclub chain, he was sent across the city to train other trainers on how to run small group training classes. When working with Kaiser, he logged hundreds of training hours helping Queens and Long Island’s most discerning clientele.

Hi this is Kaiser, and I wanted to say a little bit more about my long-time friend Salim.
I’ve visited the top bootcamps in the country, and in my opinion Salim is hands down the one of the best trainers in the country (even better than me on some days
) . I’ve met the celebrity trainers, the sports and conditioning coaches, and other major bootcamp trainers, and he’s got them all beat. Every single member you speak to at Better Body Bootcamp, bar none, will tell you that he’s the best trainer or fitness instructor they’ve ever met. His workout programs and his understanding of the mechanics of the human body are exceptional. It’s not going to take weeks or months for you to discover Salim’s talents – it’ll be obvious from your very first visit.
Salim Arbaje is also available for private training at $150/hour on a limited basis. Please contact Holly at 917-579-3434 or hfouladi1@gmail.com to schedule.
General Manager – Better Body Bootcamp – Holly Fouladi

Holly started as one our most devoted members – now she’s the most essential member of our team.
Just like many of our clients, Holly is a busy wife and mother of two, and has to work hard to fit fitness into her life. She understands that doing so allows her to give even more to her family and get the most out of her life.
Holly is a nurturing, supportive force at Better Body. She ensures that our program meets the needs of all of our members. She radiates a warmth that makes every single member feel completely at home at both of our locations. They know she’s a friend and supporter that’s looking out for them and will always be there to cheer them on to their goals.
Our business is all about our clients, and Holly is the one making sure it always stays that way. In her past career, she worked for the Bloomberg company, working closely with Mike Bloomberg herself. She’s now moved up in the world, bringing her skills and her warm spirit to the members at Better Body, changing lives every day.
Kaiser here, and I wanted to say a few words about the heart and soul of our business, Holly Fouladi.
Sometimes some people come into our lives and they change everything. That’s the effect Holly has had at Better Body. Since she joined our team our members experience improved to a new level, and our business hit new heights. She knows what it’s like to juggle a career and family; to want to be there for your children. She also knows how difficult but yet how important staying in shape is at the same time. This level of empathy has changed the tone of our entire business to reflect what’s really going on in the lives of our members. She’s helped make Better Body an even better solution to getting in incredible shape quickly, and effortlessly making it a part of your busy life.

Trainer – Better Body Bayside – Nick Liguori

From the first few minutes of meeting and talking to Nick, it’s going to be obvious to you that he knows what he’s talking about when it comes to fitness. Even more important is his passion for achieving a top-level body is contagious. But there’s much, much more to him than that.
Nick is an extremely positive, caring, supportive, and sometimes goofy person, who has adopted a simple mission: to get as many Queens residents into the best shape of their lives in as short a time as humanly possible. He has deep ties in the Bayside and Queens area and relishes his role in being a leader and helping to transform his community.
His no-nonsense workouts and drill sergeant style are balanced by his warmth, caring, and fun-loving attitude during non-training time. It’s the perfect balance to get the most out of you during your training time, while at the same time enjoying the process.
You couldn’t make a better fitness trainer than Nick if you went to a lab and tried to assemble one yourself. He’s an accomplished natural body builder and former model for Gucci and Armani, which allows him to show you how to achieve very low levels of body fat while still being able to maintain your energy and muscle tone. He can be your role-model on how to make fitness a high priority in your busy life, and the intensity and dedication you need to achieve incredible results.
It won’t take willpower on your part. Simply being around, interacting with, knowing, and being friends with someone like Nick will change how you view fitness and make identity-level changes when it comes to your body. Change will happen automatically – that’s what the right trainer, someone like Nick, can do for you.
What’s up, gang – Kaiser here. I really can’t say in a few words how impressed I am with our latest team member, Nick. While being new to our team, he’s made himself and indispensable part of it. Our needs, style, and core values are several levels higher than the rest of the fitness industry, and Nick has stepped in from the start and exceeded them. Besides being a great trainer and fitness role-model, he’s also just a very laid back warm and friendly guy, who you’ll make instant friends with. You’ll look forward to chatting with him every day just as much as you love his killer workouts and what they do for your body. We’ve worked very hard here at Better Body to create a world class program and environment to bring our members results, and with hard work you get lucky. That’s exactly what happened, we got lucky, when Nick joined our team, and you’re going to feel just as lucky to have him as your trainer and a part of your life.
Nick Liguori is also available for private training at $100/hour on a limited basis. Please contact Holly at 917-579-3434 or hfouladi1@gmail.com to schedule.
Trainer – Better Body Bayside – Josh Krantz

It’s not an ounce of hype to call Josh Krantz one of the top trainers in New York. Why? Because when it comes to training, to be the complete package it takes:
- A formal education in fitness (which Josh has completed through Queens College).
- Living and breathing fitness (which Josh has does nearly every single day of his life, and is evident from his championship intramural and collegiate hockey career).
- Having the magnetic personality and energy it takes motivate others to push harder and accomplish more than they ever have before (that part you’re going to have to find out for yourself!).
Josh scores a 10 in each category, putting him ahead of 99.9% of trainers in the fitness business today. But far overshadowing who Josh is as a trainer, is who Josh is as a person.
What you’ll also discover is that he’s one of the most dedicated, compassionate, and classiest people you’ll ever meet.
To get in outstanding shape and transform your body and life, it takes more than a trainer. It takes a friend, a role model, and a confidant that you can depend on when times gets tough and the stresses of work and life get in the way. You need a “rock” to lean on at a personal level in addition to needing a top-flight professional for the fitness side.
Josh fulfills the role in both areas. Once you’re with him, you’re going to experience a calming sense of ease knowing that you’re in good hands and that your fitness goals, no matter how ambitious, will now be possible.
Kaiser here, and I want to say a few more words about one of the most impressive people I’ve met in a long time, Josh Krantz. Josh stands so head and shoulders above the rest of trainers these days that he’s a completely different breed. These days anyone can be a trainer and anyone does. That’s the reason why most people trying to get in shape are walking around with horror stories about a trainer that injured them or wasn’t concerned about them. At best they may have had a pleasant experience, but still didn’t get the intensity or results they were looking for. This is where Josh breaks the mold. His level of passion, knowledge, skill, and empathy are off the charts; his resume is impeccable; and his warmth, energy, and personality are contagious. With Josh, you’re watching the start of what will surely be one of the top fitness careers in the United States for years to come. Just like someone that bought stock in Google or Microsoft when they first came out, you’re getting on board with a winner!
Josh Krantz is also available for private training at $100/hour on a limited basis. Please contact Holly at 917-579-3434 or hfouladi1@gmail.com to schedule.
Operations – Better Body Bootcamp – Lon Blais
Lon has played as big as role in Better Body Boot Bayside as anyone. You simply cannot run a business that serves hundreds of members and runs like a well-oiled clocked without someone doing all the important work behind the scenes. That’s exactly Lon’s role. He fills in the pieces and does all the little things that helps our bootcamp run efficiently and deliver an outstanding experience.
His help with the day-to-day tasks allows the trainers to be trainers, the customer service people to do their job, and everyone to stay focused on our members and their results. His importance can’t be overstated, and all of our members benefit from his work and effort every single time they visit the boot camp.
Kaiser here, and I wanted to leave some praise for my long-time client and friend, Lon Blais. Lon started as one of our all-time great success stories, losing over 30 pounds and making many core-level changes as a result of making fitness a big part of his life. He now rides cross country charity events, raising thousands of dollars. He has the energy and positive spirit of someone that’s made fitness part of who they are. When you see Lon, take a moment to chat, because you’ll find you have a new instant friend.
All Around Nice Guy – Bob
Bob is one of the oldest and most loved members of the Better Body Boot Camp team. He’s always around to cheer members on and give his support in his own no-nonsense way. He’s watching, checking their form, and keeping a close eye on them to make sure they’re holding to their workout routines.
A man of few words, Bob is instead a man of deep thought (although little emotion). He is however a long-time fitness fanatic, which is obvious from his chiseled chest and washboard abs. Bob is also workaholic that puts in the most hours of any member of the Better Body Boot Camp team. He’s literally around 24 hours a day, making sure things are running as they should. Thank you, Bob for all you do. We all love you.
Founder – Better Body Bootcamp – Kaiser Serajuddin
Hi- it’s Kaiser here.
I wanted to take a minute and introduce myself. The question you’re probably asking is: “Who is Kaiser Serajuddin?”
I’m actually a pretty normal guy. Even though I’ve been a lifelong fitness fanatic and trainer for over 10 years, I myself have had my own struggles with fitness at times.
Once I was able to get that part of my life handled, it helped me fill in the missing pieces in developing the highly effective, proven fitness formula at Better Body Bootcamp.
It wasn’t exactly easy to figure out all of this and develop my program. It’s the result of a long journey that started a little over 10 years ago.
My first exposure to the fitness business happened pretty much by accident.
At the time, I was a student in Pharmacy School and it was a subject I hated. I only went into it because of pressure from my parents (my mom being a pharmacist at a psychiatric hospital, and my dad a pharmaceutical scientist).
I consider my years in college the most miserable of my life. While for most people their college years are tons of fun, I couldn’t find a single thing to get excited about; I was embarking on the road to a boring career I hated.
Then something weird happened one day that changed my life forever.
Sometimes the course of our entire lives can change in an instant because of a chance encounter, and in my case that’s exactly what happened – I ran into an old friend who I hadn’t seen in years.
He was a fitness fanatic like me and mentioned he was going to get his personal training certification. He encouraged me to join him, as there really wasn’t a better way to put our knowledge of what we did for fun to good use as a career.
To me it sounded like a great idea. It also sounded like the antidote to the boredom and monotony of my daily classroom grind.
As an end to the boredom, I was right. At my first (and only) job as a trainer, working at a Bally’s on Queens Boulevard in Elmhurst Queens, I had finally found something to do that I was passionate about.
Training my clients never felt like work. I loved talking to them about fitness, turning myself into a “walking billboard”, learning more about fitness every day, and learning new and better training techniques.
However, I also found out about a dark-side to this business that most trainers and clients get burned by ….
Personal Training at the big box gym’s really has nothing to do with training or fitness.
In that corporate setting, it’s all about making quotas, pressuring people, being pushy, and having a revolving door of unqualified employees. (If you’ve ever been to one of these gyms, or heaven forbid had a trainer at one of them, you know exactly what I’m talking about.)
While I liked doing the job, I hated the work environment and situation. What I’ve learned since then is that my experience here is pretty much universal through the entire fitness industry today.
Personal Training and group fitness classes at big gyms are all about a revolving door of poorly qualified trainers, high prices, and poor service. It’s a system broken beyond repair.
Despite the fact that I had found a career I loved, the long-term prospects of being a trainer in this kind of situation looked pretty grim.
My career in fitness may have ended permanently right here, had it not been for something else that again, happened almost completely by chance …
I was sitting in a Barnes & Noble one day, engaged in one of my usual hobbies of reading fitness books, when I stumbled upon the book WORKOUT by Gunnar Peterson. Gunnar was the world’s preeminent celebrity trainer, not only training a who’s who of Hollywood’s A-list, but also many top-level professional athletes as well.
Gunnar’s book was half an autobiography about his start and rise as a trainer, and half a fitness book. For me, it was something much, much more important. It showed me a world of being a trainer outside of the big gym scene. Specifically, that I could train my own clients the way I wanted to, up to my own standards, and without any negative influences holding me down.
When I discovered this, it felt like being released from prison; and this is precisely the time my training career took off.
Initially, I started to build my client list and my business through partnerships with gyms across Queens. I had a few employees and things were going great.
I was able to make high level training, a focus on results, and great service a priority; unlike in big-box gyms, where the only priority is sales.
What I discovered is you don’t need a pushy sales process when it comes to fitness. When you know what you’re doing, have a passion for it, and treat people well, that alone can grow your business.
If there’s a heaven on earth, my time starting out as an independent trainer was it.
I had the most wonderful group of clients you could imagine. They shaped me and helped me grow as a person. Many of them even became close personal friends to this day.
They were people from all walks of life: housewives, investment bankers, teachers, models, and athletes. They were people with busy and demanding lives and schedules, and for that reason, they couldn’t give their bodies the time and attention it needed to look and feel outstanding. That’s where I stepped in.
(Ironically, years later when my business grew I experienced the same problem of not having the time to keep myself in shape either. I’ll get to how I solved that problem in a second.)
Through training, I was able to help them achieve not only amazing transformations with their bodies, but also their lives.
Clients with previous injuries were now feeling worlds better. Clients with poor posture were now standing taller. And client that were self-conscious or embarrassed with their bodies now couldn’t wait to show of their new shape.
And most miraculous of all is the complete change in attitude and personality that can happen once you look and feel better. It made me realize my job and career had an importance that went far beyond just fitness. I was dealing with people’s lives, so I needed to bring my A-game every single day and take it very, very seriously.
If there’s one thing I didn’t like, it was this: that for the most part, personal training is a luxury service that can’t be enjoyed by everyone for an extended period of time.
What’s ironic is that in the business of training, you are often judged on how good you are by your prices. For that reason, I had to keep my training rates high or people would start to devalue my services and the demand to train with me would drop off.
The problem is this priced me and most high level trainers outside of what most people could afford. Unless you had a lot of extra disposable income, hiring a trainer like me was something you could only do for the short term, if at all.
My training carried a high price tag, and it was only the rich that could keep me as a client long-term. Some people could afford to train with me in the short term and achieve outstanding results, but when they financially couldn’t keep up anymore, they naturally saw their results backtrack.
Little did I know that I’d soon find a solution that would allow me to create the perfect fitness formula that would allow me to reach more people, at better prices, with an even better training product.
I discovered the first part of this bulletproof fitness solution when my own training career started to take off. You see, when I was a teenager or college student, finding the time and motivation to keep myself in shape wasn’t difficult.
When you don’t have the responsibilities of bills, work, a career (and in the case of most of my clients, a spouse and family), training yourself and staying in shape isn’t a problem at all.
It’s when the responsibilities of being an adult step in that maintaining an exercise regimen becomes nearly impossible.
This is what I found when I had a successful training business. My normal work day would leave me so mentally and physically drained, that I couldn’t get myself “up” to plan and execute the type of workout I needed to have an outstanding body.
What was the solution? I found that I needed to make working out a social activity – it had to be done in groups. In that way you can feed of the energy of others when you don’t have it, have their accountability when you don’t feel like sticking to it, and have their motivation if yours starts to fade.
For me, this meant finding a good group of training partners to push me during my strength training workouts, and starting the hobbies of highly competitive kickboxing and basketball for my cardiovascular training.
Isn’t that funny? “Mr. Personal Trainer” having a hard time keeping himself in shape? Well, that’s the reality of being an adult over 30. For me, I found group training the solution.
However, it was still a while before I figured out how to bring this magic of group training to the public in order for them to achieve body transformation. That happened a few years later, when I first starting hearing about the fitness bootcamp craze.
Fitness bootcamps were starting to pop up across the country. Most were held in parks, some were renting space out of gymnasiums, and very few had their own stand alone locations.
A lot of these bootcamps were military themed with camouflage and obstacle courses, while others mimicked the workouts of large aerobics classes.
While none of these existing bootcamp models appealed to my beliefs in the importance of a balanced, full body approach to tackling problem zones, I did like the concept of fun, affordable group training.
Bootcamps looked to me like a way to reach more people than I could through personal training. However if I was going to do it, I’d have to make some improvements to make them even more effective.
Most bootcamps are limited in the types of resistance exercises they can do. Usually they make you bring in your own light weights and you’ve got to manage with those. This is fine for some people, but research shows a more balanced approach that works opposing muscle groups is needed not only to look good, but keep your body injury free as well.
Other bootcamps try to be military themed. They hire former military personnel who yell at you as if you were in basic training. If your goal is body transformation (and not living out some military fantasy), this isn’t necessary.
None of what these other bootcamps were doing was going to work for me, because I knew it wouldn’t work for my clients in achieving a lean, attractive body in the shortest time possible.
I wanted my bootcamp to be like training with a personal trainer, only better. Not only would you get motivated by and be accountable to your trainer and have them guiding you, but you would also have the rest of the camp cheering you along as well.
I also wanted my program to be affordable. I wanted it to be so affordable that every client could do it long-term without worrying about the cost.
With all of this is mind, I created BETTER BODY BOOTCAMP. As you’ve just read, it was discovered almost by accident – but it really turns out to be the best solution in fitness.
My program, while being the best fitness program money can buy, is also something that is affordable on a long-term basis. We are a success because of the long-term relationships we foster with our clients which last for years and take them all the way to their most ambitious fitness goals (the way I had done with so many of my private clients).
It’s true I’ve been a trainer for as long as I could remember, and have been very passionate about it – but I’ve never felt so good about it as I do now. We’ve discovered a fat loss formula that is producing incredible results for our clients; is accessible on anyone’s budget; and because of my unique experiences in developing it, no other training program can duplicate it.
Well, I’ve hoped you liked this little look into my history, and how it influenced the development of the BETTER BODY BOOTCAMP fitness program. I guess the next step is trying it our for yourself.
